Just as we neared Sakleshpur, the weather was visibly different. Not really big drops of rain, nor a drizzle. Like a mist, but more than a mist.
We had already made a reservation at a Homestay that looked really nice in the pics online and had good reviews. But when we reached there, we were disappointed to find that the place was not really maintained. With three kids in tow, we had to find another homestay or resort that would make up for this.
While driving away, @nee_ella.g noticed a signpost that said "#SirimiriResort"
We called the owner who was in Bangalore at the time and asked about availability. How happy were we when we found that not only were there no other bookings (we visited last week of August on weekdays) but the place seemed perfect for kids too.
The cleanliness was up to the mark. There was a pool, a play place, indoor games, outdoor games, bonfire and even a small little water body just a few meters down. The views were soothing with coffee and pepper plantations surrounding the property. There are multiple places so that different groups can hangout without crowding.
However the highlight was the food!!! Every single dish of every single meal was an absolute delight!!! The staff were extremely courteous and accomodating.
Mr.Gagan, who we met before leaving told us that he tries to make an effort to meet every guest who visits his property. That, we thought was a cherry on the cake of hospitality considering he had to travel to and fro.
#SirimiriinSpanish means fine constant sprinkle of rain. Yes, it was a wonderful stay with the divine sprinkles of happiness on and off from heaven.
